I’ve traveled to Austin and been able to see this statue a couple of times. It never fails to amaze me how big it is and how it well it captures the essence of Stevie. The jogging/walking trail around where it’s located is very busy and I loved seeing people dressed in all kinds of attire from a business suit, jogging clothes or simply jeans and a t-shirt taking the time to stop. Some simply touched the hand of the statue few seconds and walked on, and others stayed a while just hanging out by the lake relaxing.
